[Mideoseon Andoel Mal]

On August 18 2009, G-Dragon released his first solo album with the celebration of his 21st birthday.
This year, he is planning to unveil another solo regular album on the same date as 4 years ago

With the 2nd solo album, what we decided to do was to have one legendary foreign artist
feature in it rather than have several. There were many male rappers on the list,
but what YG was looking for was a female rapper – and there was just one. We found the answer so quickly
and we were unanimous on choosing this artist.

And she is – Missy Elliott.

This track is a song by YG’s main producer, Teddy, that has a very unique hip-hop beat like
other Missy Elliott’s tracks. Missy Elliott and G-Dragon exchanged ideas extensively over the phone,
and they decided that G-Dragon would come up with the lyrics and rap for demonstration,
which will be given to Missy Elliott in the U.S., who will then add her own rap to complete the song.

G-Dragon’s song featuring the female hip-hop legend breaks away from the convention
with a hint of Korean taste. The tinge of a voice sample from a Korean traditional folk song “Nilliliya”
makes it a one-of-a-kind, classy hip-hop track.

Diplo, the world-renowned DJ and a songwriter, who has been part of ‘Knock Out’,
will also be participating in this album.

DAY-4

There are two boy groups in preparation at YG Entertainment, and because we do not yet have official group names for them, I will go with Groups A and B.
Group A consists of 5 members whose average age is 20 years old. Two of the members in this group are KANG SEUNG YOON, whose solo debut date has just been confirmed, and an ex-contestant of K-Pop Star, Lee Seung-hoon.
Group B, on the other hand, is a younger group with 6 members whose average age is 17 years old. The then 13-year-old little boy rapper, B.I., who featured in MC Mong’s “Indian Boy” in 2009 has been appointed as the leader of this group since he was 14. This year he celebrated his 17th birthday.
As you can see from BigBang who took 7 years to actually make a debut, it is impossible to debut two boy groups at in a similar timeframe.
After much consideration, we are planning to reveal one of the groups this year. I will leave the rest to the audience completely to see how the plan goes.
For this, we have been shooting something called Real Survival Program every day and night. It will show the scene of a fierce battlefield between groups A and B.

The official name of this survival program is WIN, which stands for YG’s previous promotional phrase, “WHO IS NEXT”
The structure goes like this: the group that wins the most votes from the watchers can make a debut as soon as the program finishes. The loser group may be broken up or face member replacement. Nothing will be predictable.
The winner of WIN will be given with an official name WINNER. This WIN Program will be aired one episode a week for 10 weeks from the second week of July. WINNER will be making a debut the day after the 10th episode finishes.
The program may sound harsh, but this is a competition no professional artists can avoid in this field. This will be a program that portrays the reality in the most transparent manner.
How will WIN be run and how can the watchers participate?
YG is fully in charge of WIN Program, and the structure of the show will house many different forms.
WIN Program is a much-invested content with many experienced TV show experts involved. The show is produced by subcontracting and we are expecting to air it on national television. We will be cooperating with renowned foreign portal sites for our international fans. Foreign language subtitle service that includes English, Japanese, and Chinese will be provided as well.
In order to include the expanding market – i.e. the mobile market – we are in negotiation with Kakao Talk to encourage watchers to participate not only through portal sites but also through mobile devices.
How will KANG SEUNG YOON, who already has a debut date, be affected by this WIN Program?
I have been watching KANG SEUNG YOON prepare his debut intensely for the last 3 years. And to cut to the chase, I simply think he is “born to be a celebrity.” He’s just got that much talent.
So it was my ambitious plan to make him a multiplayer, who can handle both solo and group activities at the same time. KANG SEUNG YOON has been preparing with group A members for the past 3 years. While his solo album aims to show an analogue sentiment he possesses, his participation in the group will aim for a wider variety of genres.
Have you ever imagined KANG SEUNG YOON dance?
Have you ever imagined him sing with other group members who are dancing to a strong hip-hop beat?
If you haven’t, you will be seeing it on WIN Program from July. I personally believe that Kang Seung-yoon is now ready to fly further and higher after 3 years of hard preparation at YG Entertainment since the young age of 17.
If group A wins the WIN survival, he will be carrying out both solo and group activities simultaneously as planned. And if group B wins, he will only be working on his solo album.

When specifically will BigBang members release their solo albums?

но не думаю что мало известный мальчик рэпер сможет получать столько же внимания как бывший Суперстаровец и актер популярного ситкома с альбомом?
и где гарантия что ту группу которую не выберут сразу не расформирует?

DAY - 3

But good news first. KANG SEUNG YOON’s first solo album is a mini album with 6 songs, which is nearing its completion. On July 15, his first song ‘WILD AND YOUNG’ will be unveiled for the first time.
The much-anticipated first song is a fruit reaped by YG’s main producer, Teddy, which strays away from his past production. This song is a strong rock with KANG SEUNG YOON’s husky and powerful voice. His refreshing voice makes the song a perfect one for the blazing summer.
KANG SEUNG YOON has spent yesterday and today working on filming the music video of ‘WILD AND YOUNG’ with director HAN SA MIN, who also directed BIGBANG’s ‘BLUE’ and 2NE1’s ‘LONELY’.
Unfortunately KANG SEUNG YOON’s first song ‘WILD AND YOUNG’ will not be aired on television. Currently we are still deciding on the date of his official album release, and I believe that the date will be confirmed depending on how the other pending issue goes. I will further explain this other matter tomorrow!

We are planning October for YG’s new girl group’s debut.

The project initially started off with a plan of 10 or more members in the group, but throughout the years there has been a fierce competition among tens of tryout singers and now remain 6 members.
Unfortunately Yuna Kim (also known as Euna), who was discovered on Superstar K, had to be excluded from the team for personal reasons. However, Eunbi Kim, a contestant from the same program, remains as one of the 6 members.
We are adopting a debut method that is utterly different from the conventional debuting ways that was applied to other YG girl groups. From October, we will be debuting one or two members at a time to see whether they are apt for the public. When we can see that the audience likes them, then we will move on to forming a proper group.

Ну это называется селекция. Кто плодороднее, того и скрестим, а остальных в топку потом какая-нибудь мелкая компания подберет. Хёнсын вот может опытом поделиться.
А вообще это называется не творчество. Чистый бизнес. Интересно, сколько лет с таким подходом проживут эти группы? Явно не так много как Шинхва.

акцент явно сделан на кан сын юна, остальное на его фоне теряется

я тоже думаю что тех кто не прошел ждет участь хенсына, хотя это тоже не плохо вон как он поднялся

смотря на более ранние группы от вайджи я честно понимаю что через 5-6 лет эти группы могут заглохнуть и как 1TYM уйти почти на 10 лет в отпуск

Ну участь Хёнсына скорее один удачный случай, остальные пропадают и появляются лет через 5 в какой-нибудь сомнительной группе CoolBoiz.

Да эти группы... Вообще не знаю, что их ждет. Представь, составили группу из тебя, меня, Финниган. Предположим я дебютировала первой, сразу попала в струю (выпустила 1, 2, 3, 4 и записала песню с Эпиками), меня тут же называют дебютанткой года, сыплют комплиментами и вообще я звезда. Через месяц появляешься ты, выпускаешь инди-песню, которая становится известной, но не массово. Инди все-таки не для всех. Вроде не все так плохо, но хуже, чем могло бы быть. Через еще месяц пластинку выпускает Финниган, опять же инди, но немного потяжелее и чуть побыстрее. Опять куча наград, финниган звизда, как и я, мы благодарим папу Яна и делаем ботокс, чтобы больше не улыбаться. И так каждый раз. И нас берут в одну группу, но сразу ясно, кто тут звезды, а кто тут для бэк-вокала. Каково это чувствовать? Хотя изначально группа это почти как семья, вы там вместе должны пройти через все, и через все вместе. Может айдолам на это наплевать, главное деньги заработать, но как-то стремно это.

Вообще доверять папу Яну я уже давно перестала, просто ребят жалко. Из-за него несколько ребят не успели воспользоваться своим именем, наработанным на аудишн-программах, чтобы выпустить что-нибудь. Конечно, дебютировать всех нереально, но зачем тогда брать столько для своих гипотетических планов, которые исполняются раз в 10 лет.

Ну Кан Сын Юн. Мальчика-реппера я вообще не знаю

да я тоже о том же, поэтому я думаю Мишель ушла из Вайджи и распался Суперлс
если они не вместе с самого начало, то это все равно приведет к ситуации когда один из них скажет да кто вы такие? вы на сцене выступаете только благодаря мне
и думаю та же ситуации с Ким Юна, а не то что она вдруг захотела учится в колледже, большинство фанатов ждало ее дебюта

думаю не только вайджи хоронит ребят у себя в трейни залах, многие агентства этим грешат, даже забивая на тех кто вроде как дебютировал но их не видно
с другой стороны пусть они лучше там потренируются, наберутся ума, опыта и потом выйдут чем сразу же выпускаться с сомнительными концептами и исчезать
может некоторые за это время поймут что это не их
в любом случае нам до конца не понять что у них в головах творится

тогда я за БиАй.... вдруг он сможет переплюнуть успех Зело))
